IGC Mini-me adventures
IGC is increasingly known for its timeless, easy-to-wear classics. If keeping in good company with family and friends makes for quality of life, then why should your wardrobe not reflect this good? IGC, you might be surprised to know, was initially conceived (heh) as a children’s wear label. That was then. The brand concept evolved after much coffee and tinkering, and it is now a wardrobe that you wear to brunch, to work, to Martini Hour and everything that fills your planner - in a way that is as fuss-free as possible. The idea of children’s wear didn’t go away though. It is also always true that things simply look more adorable in pint sizes: puppies, hedgehogs, kittens, cupcakes, Harry Potter before he grew up and changed his glasses… So IGC Mini-Me happened, and it’s always a good challenge for any good designer to replicate intricate details that you might find on adult wear onto small proportions. Which isn’t easy - by the way - when everything is tinier and more fiddly within a smaller surface area. But it looks adorable and that is the Science of cute.
One-third of every IGC capsule features ‘mini-me’ versions of its key looks for little girls aged 3 – 8 years old. The newest capsule selections are easy pieces to run around and play in, and more importantly, easy to care for. Materials such as Cupro and Cotton Voile look luxe but wash well. Throw into the washing machine and you’re done. Cotton Pique doesn’t retain stains well so there won’t be too much drama.
IGC Mini-me is available at our webstore, Front Row, and now at TANGS Orchard, Level 2 (a Pop-up store of the IGC mainline and Mini-me collection until 21 July).
